Plus his 3 or 4 ex-wives. Not sure he's viable anymore after getting his ass summarily kicked all over the country.
McCain took all those states, so he doesn't need Guiliani's help. He didn't take massacusetts, and could use more help from the hippies in utah and colorado, which I would assume dig guiliani more than mccain.

Having the governor of Florida as your running mate goes a long way into securing that state as a win in the national election.

If it's about votes, then Crist is a good choice, as would be someone like Guiliani......if guiliani can add another 10% to McCain's tab in New York......taking NY for the republicans in november.......election's over. Similar can be said of florida, assuming McCain takes similar big states like bush did in 00 and 04.

Ron Paul didn't even pull a double digit win in ANY primary. The definition of a waste of time.

I remember hearing one of the four (McCain, Huckabee, Romney, Giuliani) openly admit that they would never seek the VP nomination under any circumstances. Does anyone recall who that could be?

The one who said it could (and may yet) change their minds, but whoever has the ability to decide may overlook them for denying it publicly.

    Re: Romney drops.....soooooooo

WOW Romney dropping out is a surprise. That was a shocker. My thinking is that its going to be McCain/huckabee only because Huckabee can get all the evangelicals, and McCain can get the rest of the conservatives. Makes the most sense.

Guliani is a moderate, as well as McCain. Usually they would not have two moderates running; they would want a moderate and an evangelical to cover all the bases in the general election.

As a guy, I do not mind Huckabee at all. He seems really down to earth and knows his stuff. The only reason I do not like him or vote for him if he is running for president...(VP not sure) is that his social views are not in the best interest and go against what this country was founded upon. Equality for all and I mean all.

Right I agree - but I weighed my options and since NY has more electoral votes than Florida I went with Guli. Plus there are alot of Senior Citizens who are gonna get off their kesters and probably vote McCain in this one anyway. Plus he has the support of that govna already. I think Guli will have more impact in the long run.

Crist is also really good friends with Schwarzenager (sic) from California - they did a lot of work together in a recent climate conference - so a McCain Crist ticket with Arnold in close support may be undefeatable.
