Jello's computer problem thread

Recently my computer decided it's a blast to just crash on me for no specific obvious reason... so I'm taking it to an expert nerd guy.
So if it turns out that I might need to buy something expensive... don't expect me to be playing on any server any time soon.

Just a heads up, so no one thinks I'm dead or anything.

Might be awhile... cause the only money I'll be seeing any time soon is in July on my birthday. (No job

)

I suspect that it's something internal, not a fire wall.

oddly enough, a while back, either my motherboard or my processor was causing some sort of fatal windows error... fixed it once, then a month later, the problem came back. since i had a motherboard/processor i was going to put in anyway, i just had it installed then... and that fixed the windows error :-s

I think it might've been my brother's girlfriend.
I'm no PC hardware Genius, so I have other people to put shit in for me, (Make fun of me all you want)...
But she took out some RAM that I didn't need... and I suspect she might've... done something... not good.

That's what I get for letting a female touch my computer.

as in, intentional damage? sabotage? or just incompetence?

and what do you mean "RAM you didn't need"? swapping it out for new RAM?

No, I had bought 1 gig, real recently... but it was a type that didn't work with my former 512 mb, so we just left it in there, collecting dust.
Then my bro decides he needed it... and he got his henchmen to get rid of it.
