Another reason Califorina is stupid

There is a law in Califorina saying that if an object is blocking the solar panels of a house it needs to be cut down.

So some people started complaining about houses in the neighbors yard blocking their panels and the county is making them be cut down. Now that's just an oxymoron if I ever heard one. Oh and to top it off the trees are Redwoods.

Obviously you do not understand. We use solar panels to collect energy to power the Govenator. Its all that can keep the outdated T-100 going now days *sigh*

well seeing that they do not live within a national park the redwoods are just like any other tree. they can and have been harvested for many years. check your local hardware lumber yards and i am certain you will find them selling redwood. And why do people always put the blame on Californians seeing that most of its population has come from other parts of the country they should be blaming themselves, their family members, friends and whoever else has moved to the state for it problems. Solar energy is the way to go certainly when California being it is so overpopulated has no other choice to service the demand needed. and also seeing that other parts of the nation charge the California utilities almost double the cost any average citizen would pay for electric. So solar power is also cost effective and self sufficient. As far as the tree issue though yes it sounds stupid but look at it this way what if a neighbor purposely planted those trees that hinder your ability to receive, satellite signals, or any other device that utilizes a direct signal from its transmitter, would you also feel it be stupid if it cost you money to have your system moved so that your equipment would work properly. I don't think so. I certainly can see views from both sides of the issue they have the right to have the trees but also the the owners of the solar panels have th right to power their home with whatever means they see fit. Aren't neighborly conflicts fun lol....

Bulletshell speaks the truth. We have been having a shortage of power for quite some time now. We need alternative means of power, and if that means cutting down one redwood for that extra 20% of power solar panels can utilize, then I am all for it. My only regret is that they aren't more widely used.

When I clicked on this the other day, I thought it was going to be about Berkely telling the Marine Corps that they are not welcome. That is something to be pissed about.

Someone is getting ready for a beat down. Don't be talking trash! You do realize that ALL states have there good points and bad. I, myself couldn't live anywhere else. I love it here. I have the best of everything the mountains and the beach all within 2 hours. Maybe some laws are a little silly but I am sure if I wanted to point fingers I could say that at least one law in all states suck. CA is really working towards being a Greener state and I am very proud of that. So there :P

Also... Who needs a redwood forest when you can have a wind turbine forest!? Much cooler!
