    HD DVD IS DEAD!!!

Well, all of you who picked HD DVD over Blu-Ray, I'm sorry, but you are the weakest link. HD DVD is now dead, as Toshiba has decided to stop making the HD DVD players. Sony Blu-Ray triumphs and now we no longer have to go, "Do I want an HD DVD player or Blu-Ray?"

I knew BR would beat out HD... HAHA just a matter of time. I don't care if Disney was trying to push it or not.

Interesting, X-box 360 plays HD DVD and PS3 plays blu-ray

Yet in the US 360 is dominating the PS3, exact opposite is going on in japan though.

I know you can watch your blue-rays through Windows Media Center if you get a player for your computer though.... horrible predicament if you ask me

    Re: HD DVD IS DEAD!!!

the fact that there were 2 formats in the first place was stupid. people trying to split the market like that is not only futile but moronic. Sure there was a lot of money in pattents but having exclusive releases on a market like movies is not a great way to build a strong customer base.
