If...
... Barack Obama is elected to the presidency, should the NAACP disban?
This topic is not meant to bash race, but rather ascertain if an organization created to break through the barriers of racism should continue to exist if our nations highest office is held by a person of color.
Please keep all comments civil.

Re: If...
Hmmm the national association of the advancement of colored people. This is an organization that I would consider racist and unfair. I've had dealings with them and they harbor much resentment to all whites. I'm not a racist but I think they are much like Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton in that they don't help thier race but exploit it for a profit.

Re: If...
You guys ever see this movie?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deep_Impact_(film)
Deep Impact
First movie I seen with a black president and look at what happened.
Out of all the presidents that I've been under G.W. Bush is the only one who ever gave me money.
So if he gives me money he'll be a good president.

Re: If...
I think it should disband anyways. It does some good work, but it's not a group for the equality of blacks, it's for the superiority of blacks. And they make sure that everything leveled against someone who is black is because of "racism".
Affirmative Action, NAACP, and all that stuff needs to go. I'm not naive enough to think racism is completely gone, but it's as far gone as it's going to go.

Re: If...
I think that organizations like the NAACP are self-fulfilling organizations like the Rainbow coalition and Jesse Jackson. These organizations do more to perpetuate the problem of racism than they do to assuage it.
I think that if they call themselves "colored people" then they shouldnt be pissed if "un-colored" people do the same thing.
I think they should disband regardless - they are hurting their own cause.
