Marine throws puppy over a cliff

In general, the video disgusts me. I am ashamed of any person that could carry out that act or any like it. Unfortunately, it was a U.S. Marine, which this just adds on to the other stories of tasteless acts and war crimes committed by our troops. I know there are thousands of honest men and women out there serving our country. It's just sad that they are serving alongside some criminals.

What concerns me more is the fact that the only reports of war crimes and terrible acts are those that are caught on video or camera. For example:

I remember this story from years ago. A U.S. Marine killed a prisoner. The idiot did not know that an NBC camera man was filming it the entire time...

Makes you wonder what other shit is going on while the cameras are not rolling.

Nobody said the government is in the wrong. I just said that you never know when they are being honest. So if they say the video is a hoax because their "experts" analyzed it, what can we do about it? The government and media can be a very powerful influence on what we believe is right or wrong. Unfortunately neither of them give us the luxury of what is true and what is not.

Whatever they feed us is supposed to be the truth. Even if the truth looks like shit, smells like shit, and tastes like shit. They said it wasnt shit, so shut up and eat it.

No you said that if the government doesn't say what you want it to say then it must be lying and thus can not be trusted and that anybody that trusts it in the least is stupid because they don't believe what you believe.

What I said is if you don't believe that the government will cover this up, then you need to open your eyes... watch the news maybe. Just like the CIA didn't torture prisoners by waterboarding, right? That never happened. But now it came to the surface. And just like the U.S. government didnt ship prisoners to countries that allow torture, right? Naw... that would never happen. Why? Because they told you it would never happen.

Do you believe it? If so, then go on being oblivious to your surroundings. And please do us all a favor and not vote in the election.

You're missing the point.

If the government came out and said "It was fake, here's our proof!" most of the people wouldn't believe it, no matter what proof they have. After all, the government never covers up bad stuff! Hell, never, ever!

They'd just think it's the government trying to cover its ass. The damage is already done.

EDIT: And I do believe the government can be trusted - to look out for its own interests.

First of all if this is real then it is a real shame.

What is fucked up is that our scociety has gotten so ass backwards about what band wagon we jump on that a marine throwing a "PUPPY" off of a cliff is getting more press than this:

I have to agree Nuckle. Our society has become harded to the fact of death...in our society people dont think about it very much, because it happens everyday. One life of a dog is more important than the life of human? Please.....

Nobody said anything about it being more important. But this is a U.S. Marine committing the act. Not some joe bloe redneck from Kentucky doing it in his own back yard. Take that same story Nuckle just posted and now pretend the "low life" is a police officer or someone in the military. Now it has a new meaning... You dont EXPECT this type of behavior from these poeple. In fact, you should trust them to always do what is honorable and what is right.

There are plenty of fucked up people out there that really have no point existing. And like I said before, If someone came into my house and purposely harmed my dog... they would pay. So in that case, yes, the life of my dog is worth more than some piece of trash human. If I went to prison over it, then so be it...

I did read the news article, and it said that the first course of action the military is taking is checking it's authenticity.

They have not decided if it is real or not yet.
