Well, it is happening but it is not as severre as Al Gore would claim, and a large part of it is actually due to the Sun getting hotter.

C02 /= Cause of global warming

If you leave your car out in the sun, What will happen? It will get hot, and it will get hot fast. Now you leave a newly open can of soda in your car that is baking in the sun. You come back after 2 hours to realize your drink is warm, there is no more fizz left in it and the car is hotter than hell. You could be like Gore and say that the C02 from the soda made the car warmer or you can see it the way it is and realize that increase in temperature raises C02 extraction levels.

Over the last year the planet has actually gotten COOLER, by a degree. This degree cancelled the last 100 years of "Global warming". Its amazing how many people, you, can be fooled with a powerpoint...

Actually, I believe the cause of global climate change (which is probably the correct way of saying it, since like Blue said, we're actually going down in temps, not up) is cow farts :P

I have an AP Environmental Science class that I'm taking, (advanced placement, worth college credit) and I assure you global warming is real. We are screwing this place up big time.

It took a LONG time for all of the systems of nature to balance out, and it will only stay balanced until we do something(or millions of something in almost everything we do) to throw it off which could result in something catastrophic or something that speeds up the processes that we DO NOT WANT to be speeded up.

It's real. If you don't believe it, well that's too bad, because its MY future kids and their kids, and your own too, who have to pay for our ignorance of not taking care of what we have.

Spend a summer in Germany. They are global warming/save the environment freaks. I picked it up while I was there. Its the LAW that you have to sort your waste into four different categories, three of them recycling and the last is for trash. Plus they charge a pfand(deposit) for all bottles, glass or plastic, that is worth 25 euro cents to a whole two euros in some cases. Their inhome appliances are all extremely efficient in electricity usage, they don't have airconditioning in most homes and in any public buildings, they use electric public transportation in all big cities, they use green energy(windmills for example), they have small gas efficient cars and most people don't even own one, and they walk or ride bikes so they don't need to waste gas. I didn't see any litter there, except for cigarette buds and occasional a beer bottle.
