Stainless steel blade? Don't make me laugh, the first time you tried to use it to hit someone it would bend. And the first steel on steel contact it would likely shatter.

You know - I heard even with stainless - and saw it on mythbusters that the swords of today - even crappy cheap one's are probably better made than any of the old stuff, due to the higher quality steel.

Exactly. The sword is bought as a weapon no more than an old gun collector would buy a thompson. It's not for killing, it's for having.

Though, admit it, if you were a burglar and someone came rushing at you with a sword, you'd freak the hell out.
