    Playstation3 vs Xbox360

I found this recent article about the two consoles and thought it was interesting.

I personally have not felt the need to shell out that kind of cash yet for an updgrade from my original xbox, especially since I have been playing all PC games lately, but I am sure there are those out there that have or will.

It is nice to have new technology, but with that also comes a heavy price tag and both Sony and Microsoft, in my opinion, are asking people to pay way too much for a console.

I like video game consoles just as much as the next guy. However everyone is always exciting over the "upgraded" technology for the xbox360 and PS3. What they dont realize is that, this isnt as big of a jump as NES to SNES to N64 to gamecube or PS to PS2. All these new game consoles are, are just small portable gaming "computers". If you're going to shove out 400+ dollars for one of these puppies you might as well put in a few more bucks and spring for a comp. As for asking way too much, I agree, but I've heard many people say that microsoft is actually losing money on 360 (as they were on xbox).

You are nuts you know that! The xbox 360 is really a media center that can connect to your PC over the home network and communicate very well with photos, vids, music etc. The PS3 however cannot do this because the Sony code does not work with Windows. I have played the 360 on a HD plasma display and have to say i am very pleased. The only thing i do not like about the 360 is no HDMI which the PS3 has. When hooked up to a HDTV HDMI is critical in picture quality. Yeah sure RGB is nice but the black levels on HDMI are a lot richer and darker. Xbox live is another point. Xbox has setup a gaming network that is really neat kinda like Xfire but more in depth. I can go on and on but i won't bottom line Xbox 360 why? because of ATI

    dont forget about Wii

All depends on what you want it to able to do. I agree with Rock, basically they are creating mini-gaming pc's and they aren't even that mini anymore and for that kind of money you might as well invest in a high-end vid card and get after it. I like my Xbox and I really like Xbox live, but may xbox cost my like $300. PS3 for all the bells and whistles is going to be $600 and most xbox360 fully loaded are $500 or more depending on the bundle. Can you imagine what the PS3 will cost if they bundle it with a couple of games? Better be saving your pennies for that one.

I don't think the 360 could handle the amount of zombies on-screen for four different players, so you can only locally play with two.

You'll either have to system-link, or go online and play with two other friend-list friends.
