Does anybody fly real jets ?

Sometimes i overheard people speaking about other players on the server that fly jets in their life.
I was just wondering who is it and how did they get to that point. I have always dreamed about it before. And now I am at the point where i have dilemma either go do boring stuff with computers or actually do something exciting, or maybe I am just dreaming once again.

    YkpaiHa,

There are at least two pilots in the forums, but I don't know if they fly jets. I think one flew commercial turboprops and the other is a private pilot. I am in flight school now, too. Ask away - you'll get answers.

Is it a private school where you learn how to fly commercial airplanes? does it require for you to finish bachelors degree first?

You do not need a bachelor's degree to learn to fly. All you need for a private pilot certificate is about $7000 (not all at once) for flight instruction, speak English, pass a medical, and pass a written exam. Once you get that under your belt then you can accummulate additional flight time and additional certificates as your career grows.

The airlines might require a Bachelor's degree - I don't know about that. I am simply learning to fly as a hobby and do not aspire to fly jumbo jets. Perhaps someone else will post an answer to that question. Also, you may want to check out the forums at http://www.studentpilot.com

There is no job directed at computers that can be boring. Now a job using a computer, like working in any ole' office is.

    Psssssshhhhht!!!

REAL pilot's don't need engines to stay in the air. 8)

I fly hang gliders myself. Well, I did more when I wasn't taking so many classes in college, but this summer is fast approaching and I won't have any weekend classes.. Ohhhhh yeahhhhhh ! ! !

If I shifted my weight in a hang glider it would be de-winged. I need metal. Actually, those things scare me more than parachutes. I don't know why - they just do.

Who needs gliders OR parashits? Ever since I HALO jumped in the military, I have yet to find anything that even comes CLOSE to that high. You only need a parachute to slow impact to the ground, otherwise, FREEFALL IT, BAY-BEE!!! There's just something awesome to say about HALO'ing, you'll NEVER get an adrenaline rush like you do from HALO'ing! No drug or vice even comes CLOSE! Exit the plane at 35G's, open the chite at 5?!? Fuckin' A! THAT's the way to go! Don't tell me about no stupid fuckin' bungee jumpin', or Base Jumpin', HALO is the way to go!
