Commander gripes...
I really hate when...
- The commander doesn't have or use in game VOIP.
- The commander has VOIP but is over modulated (see: microphone crammed down throat and yelling at players).
- The commander gives my squad orders slam across the map knowing full well we are engaged in conflict and unable to teleport ourselves magically there (please give orders to reasonably close / realistic locales).
- The commander hap hazzardly drops artillery on my location without prior notification.
- The commander has a "bad attitude" and winds up picking a fight with another squad leader; thus allowing me only to hear half the bitchin', all of the time.
- The commander finds himself flying in an attack jet or helicopter, effectively not performing his job.
- The commander lets his assets be destroyed, and/or doesn't call for assistance after his assets are destroyed.
- The commander does not drop supplies and / or vehicles EXACTLY where I request them by accepting my request; often resulting in desperately needed supplies sinking in a river or sliding down a steep slope.
- The commander doesn't use his ZOOM in feature to spot enemies near my location when I request "eyeballs on my location".
- The commander makes no effort to find the enemy commander (if he did he could call a hit on him).
- The commander does not request "consolidation" of one-man squads into a smaller, more capable squad of many people. (one-man squads don't cut the mustard people; you might as well lone smurf)
- The commander goes AFK, and fails to inform the squad.
- The commander drops supplies on destroyed assets (artillery, UAV, scan satellite) in order to "repair" them. This much needed supplies could be used to augment a good squads effectiveness; and possibly save lives.
- The commander drops a vehicle on an enemy or on the enemy airfield in a (pathetic) effort to prevent them from taking off. As with the above, these vehicles in the right hands are valuable tools. The commander is only giving the enemy a weapon. A fast weapon with two deadly machine guns.
- ...and much, MUCH more...
Moreover, there ought to be consequences for commanders who do these types of things. I'm looking forward to the day when we are all famaliar with one anothers standards and practices that these types of annoyances and wastes will fade away.
Post your legit commander gripes; after all, if you don't gripe, the commanders won't know what is wrong anyways. So gripe.[/list]

Ok, now the cons:
- you may miss wasting the supplies
- you have given the enemy yet another resource to stay alive and utilize against you
- you have deprived other TEAM players of much needed supplies
- your actions will inadvertently KILL many players, perhaps dozens; resulting in ticket loss and ultimately losing the round - [i]lost rounds mean lost points; and lost points mean less chance to achieve higher rankings / unlocks / and promotions within the game[i]
Do the math and use your commanding capabilities as they were meant to be. I'd trade a fully armed, fully healed squad of pain bringers than some dipshit pilot in a helicopter who is probabaly going to crash and kill himself anyways.
Are there any other commanders out there who wish to challenge the above list? NEXT!

RE: Re: RE: Commander gripes...
You assume that a squade member wont always request a vehicle drop. Where do you get your math? I mean how does dropping a vehicle on a blackhawk full of passengers, blowing them up result in my team losing points. By also bombing attack helos this way I prevent them from getting on the field and killing my troops

RE: Re: RE: Commander gripes...
Gee, your right Manfred. I mean, it's not like I've EVER been on the battlefield and request supplies or a vehicle only to find out it's not there because the commander is (ab)using it to craftily place it on enemy vehicles.
You have my vote...for a MUTINY.
