Saw this add on TTP. Anyone actually use this. Sounds nice but looking for some real feedback on this.

Yes, the advertising is working especially since there are picture ones again with interesting things. I actually see stuff I want to click on now.

Re: Lifelock.com
I have a friend who subscribes to Lifelock and he likes the security and peace of mind it gives him.
He also said that it really cut down on the junk mail and all but eliminated those pre-approved mortgage/credit card mailings.
I may have to check it out.
have you heard the recent fad? Stealing children's Identities - its easier because a 4 yr old doesnt make a habit of checking on their social security number very often so the abuse can continue for years with nobody looking to stop it.
Run your kids SSN's through www.annualcreditreport.com for a free glimpse - it should be a blank slate.
DON'T use "Freecreditreport.com" - they are a credit monitoring service that will charge you for info.

Turtle,
My wife and I recently signed up for a year of Lifelock. They essentially do the leg work for you to keep fraud alerts active on your credit files with the three big credit rating agencies. One nice thing that follows is that you'll receive credit reports from those three agencies. I'm glad we did, because the last one my wife received was royally screwed up. Strange that the other two were correct.
If you haven't already enrolled, there are promotion codes available on the 'net that will give you a month's free service and a discount. Here's one I found: RD11"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms shall not be infringed."

Yep, pretty much... LifeLock does a ton of things for you that you're perfectly capable of doing on your own and at little to no actual cost. However, if your time is valuable, they do that stuff for you. It's not for everybody, but I can totally see why some would want to have somebody else handle credit and junk mail and such for them.
