Thread: TiVo

Anyone in here have a TiVo (series 3 or HD specifically)? I recently picked up a TiVo HD, and am looking for some good info or hacks. Preferably info that doesn't involve replacing the PROM with a custom chip (I really don't feel like socketing my board, as I hate soldering and it sounds like a complete bitch).

I've already had some fun with playing Galleon and pyTivo, but am looking for more points of interest. Random TiVo apps would be nice (as in apps made to run on the TiVo). Something that can easily download and convert to xvid in one fell swoop would be nice as well (currently have to download with one program, strip the TiVo container with another which leaves a mpeg, and convert that to xvid with yet another program, which I guess you would know if you know about a program that does it all for you at once).

I just found the info about the 30 second skip 'hack' with the remote. Can't wait to see if it works on series 3, but I waiting on the damn thing to finish with a guide update.
