    Re: WOW (Streaming Song)

Defininately not my cup of tea. I'm not much of a big techno fan but I do love me some Rabbit in the Moon and can stomach some chemical brothers...as well as a few other DJ's. My brother has been making money doing this stuff for the past 15 years and I still can't stomach his stuff either. In my honest opinion, that is up there with the most annoying thing's I've ever heard in my life. But I'm old. Cheers.

    Impressive Mutations: The Smoker.

    -250 HP

-Primary attack damage: upon impact 0, during a drag 3 damage every 2 seconds, choking 5 damage per second, damage after incap 17 damage per second.

-Speed: A survivor at 39 HP

Smokers, named after the fog they produce after being dispatched. This smoke is blinding though it does not cause any dps (damage per second). Smokers can usually be found up high and out of sight waiting to snipe thier prey with a long lasso of a tongue. Smokers are slow they move at the speed survivors move at 39 health or below. Because Smokers generally attack from high places I do not recommend a buckshot if you are equipped with a shotgun variant switch to your pistols (If you have a shotgun you dont need a melee weapon) in the best scenario you will be equipped with a AR (assault rifle) or a sniper rifle when spotted start to shoot at the fiend while alerting the rest of your team of it's location.

If you should find yourself about to be captured by the slimy constrictions of a smoker, you have ways to free yourself before it is too late BUT you must act quickly. Try to headshot the smoker before the next second so that he can never wrap his tongue around you or the short time after impact before you become immobilized. If you are fortunate enough to wield the chainsaw I suggest you rev up the beast upon hearing the smokers audio cue (a sickening cough) the chainsaw will cut off the smokers tongue upon impact all you have to do is point the blades in the direction of the tongue and hold the attack key/trigger. Those of us who are extremely skilled can manage to wack off the tongue with a standard melee weapon, such as an axe or machete I wouldn't reccomend this though because it is very difficult I myself have only been able to do this a few times.

If one of your companions have been captured by the smoker act quickly and save them thier precious hp and regain the extra help lost in the smokers incap. A smoke can be remedied as easily as: killing the smoker, shooting, the tongue, or a quick melee shove to the victim. I reccomend killing the smoker instead of the ladder unless you are in a hurry. Better to nip it in the bud.

    PLAYING THE SMOKER:

The smoker is the renaissance man of the SI gang, he is a DPS, support and a seperation class. Good smokers will stay behind cover in a high place when possible so they are hard to shoot and can be unseen. It's a good idea to pull a survivor back to a place where the group has already traveled. so they are made to back track.

Smokers crave support a little more than the rest of his buddies because his attack though damaging is more of a bait. The smokers best friend is the charger Smokers can pull a survivor one direction while A charger carrys his would be rescuer far far away in the complete opposite direction. Of course every SI should never attack alone.

Don't waste your pull! Find a good spot to launch your attack and bring friends. A high place behind the survivors is a ideal spot also pulling someone near a witch, car alarm or off of a ledge or cliff is also a prime attack.

The game has many areas where once the survivors cross there is simply no going back. An example would be the hole in the floor of the tunnel of love in Dark Carnival. If the team doesnt follow common sense and jump all at once quickly ensnare the last survivor before he join his team and you have a gauranteed meal.

    Thanks for reading=)

    Nice information.

    Just would like to add...

Any damage done to a survivor in the smokers death fog counts towards the points of the player who was the Smoker.

Can't view the video(it's just me, there's nothing wrong with the video), but I believe you can only cut an approaching smoker tongue with the edged melee weapons. Machete, fire axe, crowbar, sword, CS:S knife, chainsaw. I may be wrong though.

It's also important to mention that any other secure SI can steal the Smokers victim.

I'd like to think that theres an offensive smoker and defensive smoker.

Offensive smokers go for fast pulls. Like set ups, intsa kills and quick smokers. Quick smoke is spawning really close to someone and snatching them quick. His death cloud is also usefull in boomer/spit/dark area situations.

Defensive smokers stay out of sight, use distance and objects/corners. Trying to get reach around pulls that bend the tounge around corners and objects. Making it much harder to shoot the smoker and making the survivor harder to rescue. And using his smoke trail to taunt and distract the survivors in his spare time.
