LOL Kraker, a hydrogen car does not run on nuclear power. Its a simple combustion reaction the same as gasoline.

Sure, and being friendly supplemented by peace is the solution to war.

    Easier said than done.
    Its easier than you think
All one we would have to do is outlaw any new oil or coal burning powerplants and de-regulate just a bit nuclear power plants. And BTW, I am no tree hugger. to me, it is all about lower energy costs and energy independence. The green stuff is just a nice side effect to me. But lower costs are great for everyone. Furthermore, politically and economically, switching to those types of clean power makes a lot of sense.

Being friendly supplemented by peace is not a solution to war. I prefer to speak softly and carry the biggest stick. But that is another thread

And whoever said hydrogen cars use fusion or fission is ignorant and needs an education. Hydrogen cars burn hydrogen instead of fossil fuels. Hydrogen is easily obtainable through electrolysis of water. It burns easily and it burns clean. The real holy grail of hydrogen powered cars would be to make an engine so efficient that you could use the power coming off the engine through an alternator to electrolosize enough hydrogen from water to power it. Thereby having a water powered car.

Eh, I am not so worried Kraker. Years ago people could go buy dynamite at the general store and we seemed to get along just fine.

Hillary said on Oreilly last night that she wanted to take on OPEC, even proposing WTO trade sanctions against price gouging OPEC states and international consequences for being in OPEC/abusing power in OPEC.

Make it happen hillary......and you got my vote.

    fuck OPEC.

it's people like this that got nuclear power off the table as our primary power source back in the day.

nuclear power won't need to be supplemented by the pittance of electricity wind/solar/hydro/geothermal can/will produce.

I agree but until the government relaxes some of the laws regarding the enrichment rate of the nuclear fuel, we will still have the problem of what to do with that fuel. I agree it is a great idea...hell the nuclear power sub reactors will never need refueling. Even if civilian run reactors are only half as much enriched as military, we could have clean power for centuries if not a millennium or two without needing to take out the waste.

No bigdog, Iam all for nuclear energy....but you have to do it right....Russia learned a valuable lesson....the Chernobyl incident was most likely the cause of putting nuke energy down the drain here in the states. But we do have 2 nuke reactors that are active.....

Iam just not for Billy Bob doin it in his backyard. I would hate for my neighbor to kill me and my family, cuz he wants to save money by not going to the hydrogen station down the road

ok first the Chernobyl catastrophe was a while ago and although i cant name them, im sure we have made strides forward as far as saftey goes. Plus dont you think that before this became a national thing we would have dozens of scientific researching firms pour over everything to make sure its safe

and again, im sure good ole' uncle sam will want to keep his finger in the pie and place restrictions on the availability of personnal hydrogen producing supplies... ohh and just for example, ever lived next to someone with one of those massive 500 gallon propane tanks? isnt that kind of the same thing except on a smaller scale? and im pretty sure you have to have certain licenses before you just go buy a tank and install it anyways.

Oh, you mean the same way that people with gasoline cars store gasoline tanks in their backyards. I get it.
