This guy is pretty much the modern day meat and potatoes of guitar playing. His name is Greg Koch, and when he isn't touring around the world with his band, he is THE guy that Fender has do all of their product demonstrations and clinics.

He is that perfect blend of technical playing with a blend of jazz, country, chickin pickin, but with real rock roots. He has the technical skills of the greats like Satch and Vai, but he says he likes to have "gristle in his meat" rather than keeping it lean and clean. I attended a clinic with him last year just to get a chance to meet him.

That guy had some really awesome ideas on the guitar! All over the place! Part of the song reminds me of the beginning chicken picking part off the mastodon song divinations

Very cool Heavy. Have to admit though I went from this video to a few Buckethead songs hehe
