Nice. I knew they were remaking The Hobbit, but I didn't realize they were making a second 1 to go with it. Should be interesting, can't wait to see them both as I loved the book.

Quite a lot does happen in the Hobbit, so I can see how they could make two films out of it. They could have easily made one movie per actual book of the Lord of the Rings (meaning six movies), plus a whole damn miniseries out of the Silmarillion. Oh man, that would be the most awesome show ever. Someone go hold a few TV execs hostage for me, will you?
