    Question for Steam users
    #11

    Re: Question for Steam users

If you got the game by downloading it through steam, then on any other computer you sign into the same account with, you'll be able to download the same games to that computer.

I.E. If my main computer at my house has TF2 on it through steam download, then if I go to my friends house and sign into my account using his computer, it'll let me download TF2 to that computer too. The only limitation is that I can only use my account on one computer at a time. This same situation should also work for non-Valve games that are purchased/downloaded/installed through steam.

Is there a way that I can change my screen name so that hubby can play it or I guess the better question is this..

On BF2 you can have multiple accounts on it (one box ,one product code) can you do the same with Steam or the games on steam? If so how do you do that? If not is there a way to change the in game name and will it go towards hubby's score or mine? Was that confusing..LOL
Actually your Steam id is displayed on the Psychostats page. Dusty here is yours STEAM_0:1:18160320

IE I bought Civilizations 4 from EB Games aka GameStop can I now register this game with steam and then when I get a new computer or reinstall windows can I now just use steam?

    OR

Register it with steam and not need the discs any more to run the game.
That's how HL2 works with me. My dad bought it for me from Best Buy so I could test out my laptop (back when I was a wittle fweshman). I'm not sure where the CDs are now, but it doesn't really matter with it registered and all.

Ya... I wouldn't buy it at a store... Go to Steampowered.com and download steam for free. Make an account and purchase whatever games you want.

I've purchased and downloaded CS:S, DoD:S, CoD4:MW, and TF2 all through Steam. This way I don't have to worry about losing CD keys, CD's, or when I go home to my parents... I can download whatever game I own onto my pop's computer and play.
