So, who's the lazy one?

Re: UPS is lazy
I only buy online when its cheaper (which can be quite often). Gotta tack on the shipping costs of course, which means its usually only cheaper if they throw in free shipping or really discounted price. I just ordered a new digital camera over the weekend from Amazon for $80 less than the Best Buy store price and since it was over $25 it came with super saver shipping (Free! $$$). The question you have to ask is, "Is the convenience of getting the item 7 days early worth the difference in price even after paying for gas to get to the store and the time you have to take out of your day to buy it?" Sometimes the answer is very legitimately yes. I will typically not buy something online if I'm saving less than $5.

yea these days the gas cost of getting to and from the store probably offsets some if not most of the shipping... and not to mention the stores can be a headache whereas the online stores arnt usually. Add to that the simple fact that maybe i dont have the time to be driving out to random stores looking for items. Then throw in the fact that its like 100+ degrees here and u can get sunburned sticking your arm out the car window....
and buying online is not called laziness... thats called being a smart consumer.

Online shopping can be a minefield in terms of the good and bad.... but the trick really is as simple as staying with vendors who are time proven and word of mouth proven sellers. You can get almost anything and at a good price.. from amazon.com... and newegg for electronic related things. Those 2 alone pretty much cover a vast majority of what you need. The only thing i never buy online is clothes.. because you have to try them on to really get a good idea of them.
Honestly the problems are usually on the shipping end of things for almost any online vendor.. but if you buy from a big name online store like amazon.. they will usually sort things out for you and quickly.
