Well, my current card is 64mb and sucks. The video I linked to is an example of what I DON'T want my next card to do. Some cards seem to have shader issues with L4D which makes the levels too bright.
I'm having a heck of a time finding a cheap AGP card. Seems like everyone is wanting $50-80 for a 512mb AGP card; that's a little steep for me.

09-10-12, 12:34 PM #32That seems about the right price. You might want to try 256MB if 50 dollars is too steep. I've seen those around 25-30 dollars.
The unfortunate thing about hardware is that as it gets older it gets cheaper. BUT, there's a little window of time where some things are still desirable by some people, but are no longer being made, and thus not as easy to find. During that window the price goes UP even though the piece might be obsolete in the eyes of most. Once it is no longer sought after, then the price will go back down to reasonable. Ten years from now those 512 meg cards will probably be 5 dollars.
