Military Mens Wives

I've always heard the rumor that all military mens wives and girlfriends cheat on them. Even men who are very confident in their relationship. I am thinking about joining the Army and am very secure in my relationship, yet this bothers me.

Any personal experiences that could ease my mind?

Anyway if the girl really loves you, and actually cares about you (i.e. the girl you want) she won't cheat on you. Don't worry about the job, worry about getting the right girl.

I'm 18 and I have the right girl.

Shed probably be against me joining the active military. (I havent told her that ive been thinking about it.)

But your right i probably shouldn't worry about it.

A few bad apples spoil everything. Not every military wife cheats. There are a few, yes. But there are people who do it outside aswell. So it's not fair to put the blame souly on the military.

But if your wife does cheat on you. Fuck her! She's not worth the trouble anyways.

Its certainly more common with military mens wives/girlfriends than it is for the vast majority of others. This of course mainly is because the longer your without someone (and deployments can be several years).. the easier it becomes to distance yourself whether consciously or not from them.

Also.. hell if you had a GF... and even if you loved her a ton.. and she was gone for 2 years.. in my opinion it would be mighty tough for you to stay true to her in terms of the physical aspect of the relationship even if you never stopped loving her dearly. Cheating isn't always about losing the love you had... people have needs and those needs sometimes cause you to make poor decisions.

however.. any low life bitch I've ever dated, I wouldnt trust for a fuckin second that I couldnt see them.

Do you think they do it just because they are in the Military? Noooo. Same thing happens in long distance relationships. I would say that it really depends on how strong your bond is to your wife/girlfriend. Also, how trustworthy is the lady that you are with. If you have a feeling she will... Then she probably will. I can't imagine having my wife (if I had one) cheat on me, if I was over seas fighting a war.

I say, do what you think, feel, and believe is right. Join if that's you're calling. Have a talk with your wife/girlfriend, explain to her how you truly feel. That's all you can really do. Being 18 and making a life changing decision is hard to do.... Yes you can do it, but I don't suggest you do it on your own. Talk to your family before you sign any papers. If you have a God, ask for guidance. Going to war is not a pretty thing.... No I've never been in the military, but I've heard enough stories and seen enough pictures/home videos, to keep me far away. The only time you'd see me in arms, would be if the enemy was invading American soil.

LOL Alpine that shit was great.. I hear ya too, I was in the same boat. I loved my hot chicks when I was younger, but all those relationships were purely physical. I lucked out though and found a hot one that loves me unconditonally through thick and thin.

As far as the cheating. There isn't much you can do, if it was meant to be than you shouldn't let it weigh on you so heavily, especially when you're considering such a life changing decision. Communication is key. Not just key, its the holy fucking grail.
