Last guy was hiding as well and I tried to get the windows down, but I guess he caught a glance and came after me. He was cool though and said, "Down in Phoenix they have more important shit to do, but up here..." Up here what? You dont have important shit to do? He said he was going to write me up. By that point I was literally LOL'n and couldnt care less. He came back with a warning and told me since I got popped twice already he'll let me go because, "I aint like those other cops." Hah...
So a basic two hour trip turned into $300-400 in fines and about an hour of getting yelled at by the Mrs. Good times...
I never told any of the cops I was carrying my firearm, I usually do tho for their safety and mine... These guys felt like zombies tho!

meh thats a big risk not telling them you have a gun... but then again its also a big risk telling them you do. Lose lose situation imo.
As for the tint shit.. yea its pretty much a given that if you customize your car to much on the outside... you are guaranteed to be pulled over more often then someone who just has a regular looking car. Sucks i know but its the truth... especially if your out in the country... cause those cops tend to not have as much interesting shit happen nor do they see as many custom car jobs..
As for me.. ive learned where cops are hiding around my area to the point where ive been very good and lucky at avoiding them. Im a fast driver.. but not to the point of insanity. In 8 years of driving ive been pulled over twice and gotten 1 ticket. Btw.. guess where that ticket was... some country ass county in VA when i was driving back up at like 3 am coming home from a V.Tech football game... Reckless driving my ass... its 3 am.. there were almost no cars... and i had sped up to pass the big rig on the right. Fucking cop give me a break.

I wish I was as lucky as you Slipsters. Phoenix is a huge city and every corner is a potential hiding spot here.
I've had like, well too many tickets to count. Liscense suspended once.. Been in like 4 car accidents, one where I totalled my last VW and ended up skidding down the hwy on my hood for like 100 yards. Anyone wanna pay my insurance?

damn.. yea im the type of driver who does 85 down a 55-65 mph highway.. but other than that im usually a pretty safe driver. Im right by DC so its not like im out in the middle of nowhere... plenty of places for cops to hide here as well.. but i attribute my luck to knowing when to push it and when to back off.. and knowing their usual hideouts. I also have to say that its very possible that watching a shitload of COPS and Worlds Wildest Police Videos and other such shows when i was younger may have actually helped me in not getting caught as well lol.
Sounds like you pay a SHITLOAD of insurance -.-

its easy to avoid cops in the phoenix area, just gotta learn the spots they like to sit, sure they might change it up now and then but a lot of times they sit in the same place (esp Scottsdale and Tempe, if you know where those photo radar vans are set up, you usually avoid them easily) in the country its easy to because they usually set up in areas they will get tickets easily (i.e. right after a speed change)

Re: you get pulled...
One time I rolled up on a cop sitting behind a guy at a 4 way stop both of them just sitting in the intersection, no lights flashing, just sitting there, one behind the other. I was confused so I slowly started creeping around them doing under 5mph. Then the other car just took off, so I stopped assuming the officer was going to pursue them. But the cop didn't move so after a few seconds I moved forward and the cop followed me and then pulled me over. She stated that she had been following this guy and he had been driving on the curb and crossing the yellow line for a few blocks and then stalled his car in the intersection. She assumed he was drunk, but then let him go to pull me over for not stopping at the intersection. I guess for some cops its all about making quotas and doing the easy thing like writing tickets for window tint instead of actually preventing real crime.
