If you want proof as to why I believe the "liberal media" is a myth, read the book "Dirty Truths" by author Michael Parenti. He is a wise old man, with a Ph.D in political science from Yale, and a lifetime experience in the field.

Michael Parenti also has a book called "Democracy for the Few" which is a good read. GO T-BAGGER for reading Parenti.

You want a battle of books? Read Liberalism is a Mental Disorder by Michael Savage, in fact read any of his books. Or An Inconvenient Book by Glenn Beck. Should I go on?

The media today is so against the right wing. Which is a good and a bad thing. Good because it's a check on the right wing conseratives. Bad because it pushes it's left wing views on everything so there is no balance. America doesn't need right or left. It needs the middle. Because if we get one too far to either way shit is going to hit the fan.

Now to violence. Name one country that isn't based on violence? ONE! What is that? There is none? Oh yeah I knew that. Every country has fought for it's own way of life.
I don't understand you when you point out the enviroment as violence? What are we doing wrong? If the earth doesn't want us here. Oh she'll tell us. And it'll be over. The earth can fix anything we do to her. Drug-related deaths? How is that caused by the government? Beating protestors? Oh yeah? Isn't it kind of funny how must of them start it first. Accidents at the work place? How is that the governments fault? I dropped a computer on my foot. GOODAMN BUSH? Um I don't understand.

And the laws apply to everyone. It doesn't matter if you're rich or not. Look at Enron. It hit them like a ton of bricks.

Alright you leave me with many points to refute. 1st, the environment. When you dam up a river, it hurts the ecosystem. When we pollute the atmosphere, it hurts the ecosystem. When you blow up nuclear bombs, it certainly destroys the environment. The US Government makes it legal for corporations to pollute on a large scale. All that seems to matter is economic progress. What many fail to realize is that without the environment, there is no economy. "What are we doing wrong? If the earth doesn't want us here. Oh she'll tell us. And it'll be over. The earth can fix anything we do to her." What we are doing wrong is reducing biodiversity by destroying habitats. Spraying pesticides and scraping the ocean floor clean. I could go on and on...The earth can't fix anything we do to her. When she is healthy, she can repair and rebuild. But when we constantly abuse her, irreparable damage is possible.

"Drug-related deaths? How is that caused by the government?"

Because the United States imports the drugs. The War on Drugs is a joke. Back when the Iran-Contra scandal was going on, there was a 3rd secret. When the planes that brought the Contras arms (illegaly) returned to the US, guess what came with them? Cocaine and other illegal drugs. Here is a book "Powderburns: Cocaine, Contras, and the Drug War" written by Celerino Castillo III. He was a DEA agent who saw the whole thing go down for years, wrote many reports, but eventually quit his job after realizing that the Reagan Administration wouldn't allow this secret to be reveiled. Hey guess what most people are in jail for? DRUGS!

Accidents at the workplace often happen because of loose government regulations. Who demands these fast and easy regulations? Big Businesses. Profit > Safety. Hell, it really looks more like Profit > Everything.

Ahh, and I'm sure the government imbedded tracking chips in Beanie Babies and cameras in Furbies, too.

And that goes back to your original point (that the government is scarier than Islamic terrorists) how?
