i usually tip well anywhere, esp in fast food. go to a TDM and get a 5 dollar burro and tip around 1-1.50, get a 3 dollar coffee at the local coffee shop tip at least a dollar.

In restaurants i'm pretty good as well, esp for the person busing the table, all the plates stacked up table cleaned off as best as possible etc. when you know how annoying cleaning tables is, it isn't hard to be nice and clean up after yourself.

Yeah so I'm a busser at Cheesburger in Paradise, it's not the most fun job ever. So when I'm fast walking out of the kitchen during dinner rush or lunch rush or whatever, don't make fun of me as I walk by your table. I may only be a busser, but that doesn't mean I don't know the cooks...

Also when I go to eat at Cheesburger I have to tip 15% or it gets taken out of my tiny paycheck lol.

Same... But if I'm that well behaved (I always am), and get treated like shit I don't give a full tip. I enjoy getting abused by servers, but only in conversation.

oh, in most restaurants, the servers tip the bussers and bartenders at the end of the night...so the bussers still get tip, on top of their like, double-the-server's salary.

in Key West dude...I freakin love it there....
if it is, my bro is stationed on the South Base w/the Coast Guard.

oh, and I just got a new job last week at this small, organic/healthy restaurant in the back of The Woodlands...for you locals, it's near the corner of Woodlands Parkway and Kuykendahl (for non-houstonians, thats KER-KEN-DOLL...unless it's a last name, then it's KIKE-EN-DOLL)

Barely enough work to keep two servers busy on a weekday...weekends are a lil better, still make decent money...oh, and we're only open 8-3.
Cool thing though? you can sit and chat all you want...it's not like the servers have an "assigned section" and we NEVER go on wait...
Oh, and IF ANY EXPERIENCED SERVERS IN THE WOODLANDS WANT A CHILL JOB WITH FREE FOOD, PM ME!

Maybe it's different up here in the great white north, because bussers up here generally, but not always. earn minimum wage + 1% of sales (approx. minimum) tip from the servers, which equates to jack shit. The kitchen + dishwashers get 1% (minimum) split between the lot of 'em. I never feel for the server's wage, and I'm not sorry for it. Who has it worse... The dish pig getting dirty, and stressed, working for minimum wage, or the server with a shorter shift earning minimum + 200$ take home in tips? Fuck the servers in their pretentious asses! I was one, and I still hate the way tips favor them exclusively.
