but how do you game with it?

gaming and linux most of the time don't go hand and hand. I know almost all Id games and the UT games can run natively in linux. There is always wine that is kinda like a windows emulator, but wne stands for Wine Is Not an Emulator.

And I just heard about Cedega that surrport for games like CS:S, DOD:S and BF2. I haven't tried it out cause the system I have isn't beefy enough, mainly it only has 256mb of ram, stupid rambus.

Sidenote: Does anyone have any rambus sticks bigger than 64 that they aren't using??

Hey geeseven, sorry I don't have any spare rambus but I bought mine from Memory Giant ( http://www.memorygiant.com/ ) and was quite pleased with the service and product.

oh... ok. The cube is 4 different desktops and most of the time it looks just like a normal computer like xp. But when you switch between them or are moving windows around you see the 3D cube. Application can be between two desktops like in the picture but you won't want to play like that, although I have seen a demo of a quake 3 demo playing like the picture of the web broswer.

    My new desk setup

installed UT04 demo just to see what would happen. The lack of power on my sytem is clear but was still able to get it to run and do all the cool xgl tricks. 3d game running while translucent, and ofcorse teh cube trick!

Here is my sweet work setup... Dual 21" Samsung LCDs, both at 1600x1200. Enough room to get the job done.

oh... Now I got some old school TTP artwork as the "top"

The image will "snap" right side up as you turn the cube, kind hard to see with screen shots though.

    Dual 21"s, I am jealous.

    RE: My new desk setup

oh... man. I just install Synergy so I can now share my keyboard and mouse between my windows and linux box. Just mouse over like a daul monitor set up and the cursor will go to the other box and vice versa. The scroll wheel, keyboard and even cut and paste between the two different computers. This is so bad ass.
