    Ahh, thanks for the bump!

Looking at the labels from the last page, I actually have had Terrible, and it was splendiferous. I'll need to just start going through the list in this thread.

    1. Hoegaarden
    2. Paulaner Hefeweizen
    3. Sam Adams Boston Lager (good ole stand by)

I also don't mind a nice tall cool Budweiser or Michelob every now and then. I also get Yuengling Lager every now and then.

Re: Name your top 3 beers.

I am a beer connoisseur. I have tried a depressing amount of beers in my day. I have gone through a faze in my life where i liked every different variety. I have lost my taste, at the moment, for wheat beer and Belgian style abbey ales. I am a hops fiend. Gimme an IPA and I'll be happy as a bug in a rug. IPA's can be a little inconsistent so i usually go for the freshest batch. I am really digging the New Belgium ranger IPA right now. Sierra Nevada is a staple of mine.

    1. Green Flash Brewery-West Coast IPA- My favorite beer. You want to taste some hops, try some green flash.

    2. Lagunitas Brewery- Correction Ale, Lucky 13, IPA, Hop Stoopid, and many other 22 ounce flavors. Lagunitas rules!

    3. Sierra Nevada Brewery- Seasonal Fresh Hop Ale- Twice a year Sierra Nevada creates a fresh hop ale from the hop harvest from the northern and southern hemisphere. It is a hoppy beer that has great aromas. My friend at the liquor store disses this sierra beer because he thinks it isn't balanced. I love my hops and i don't care if they are balanced or not. Load em up baby.

    4. Mexican style beer with lime, corona, dos equis, tecate, modelo, indio, pacifico, bohemia, etc.

    * Honorable Mentions- Guinness, Harp, Lone Star, Stash IPA.

I am still sticking with Rogue's Dead Guy Ale and Deschute's Mirror Pond Pale All. But the Mendocino's Eye of The Hawk Ale is being tied now with Lazy Boy's Brewery's Belgian Ale.

How about red horse? That one maybe a little harder for non military to get but it's philipeno. So there alcohol isn't regulated. You can drink 5 and nothing but just 1 can put you on your ass. So it's kind of a game to see who's about to get fucked up. On top of that the price tags they put on them are a game in them selves. Take it off the bottle stick it on who ever is around. I doesn't matter where your not getting it off without ripping every single hair it touch out by the root. Funny as hell when your drunk.
Pig's Eye for real? Brewed right here in St. Paul, MN...or at least it was for the longest time. I seriously thought that Pig's Eye was a Minnesota thing...

oh and Pig's Eye is the name of the brewer that first made the beer in the limestone bluffs around St. Paul. Last time I checked the cave he made it in is closed down, for obvious reasons, but you can still go and see it if you like.
hahhaha pigs eye would make the 3 worst beers list...My friend would buy it in bemidji for dirt cheap.

This top 3 beer is gonna be tough. When i turned 21 i would buy different singles and 6 packs every time I would go to happy harrys liquor store. Seen a lot of good choices people have listed so far.

Newcastle (put some honey on the inside of the glass)
Hop Slam (seasonal, 10%alc or so)
Premium Grain Belt (Minnesota beer enough said)
Flying Dog (all of them are good)

    Others:
Rogue hazelnut brown nector, Dead Guy, double dead guy,
    Two hearted ale
Fat tire (almost all the new belgiums are good)
Sammy Smith Oatmeal and Nutbrown stout
    Chimay
    Mississippi Mud
    Hazed and Infused

Many others to list but my mind is spaced right now.

Since you like hoppy bears, please tell me that you tried Hoptober by New Belgium this past fall?

Re: Name your top 3 beers.

The best three beers I have had so far are:

    3. Schoffenhoffer Dark. Very nice dunkelbier
    2. Guinness, but not just any Guinness. On the tap, in a pub, in Dublin, sitting across the street from the brewery. Man that was a good beer.
    1. Vetter's 33. Hands down the best beer I have ever had. The 33 is for the percentage, by volume, of alcohol. But you would never know it from the taste.

I still have at least 6 months here in Germany to find some better beer

Re: Name your top 3 beers.

Just had my first Samuel Smith Nutbrown Ale in 8 months, and I'm in heaven right now; pure bliss. I also picked up an Allagash Tripel Reserve for my adviser whom I'm seeing to tomorrow.
