Personally, I like Biden, he does not hold back. That is he calls as he sees it; much to the chagrin of those politicians who are careful to be as broad (and often vague) as possible in the their inclusion of possible voters.
I think Biden is a bad choice for VP however because he is so far left that those on the fence may fall over to the other side.

Well, this isn't an official statement from the Obama campaign by any means. CNN apparently has "democrat sources" who leaked the information on the condition that they retain their anonymity.
I wouldn't be at all surprised if this is simply a fishing expedition on the part of the Obama campaign to see how their voter base would respond, because you know if some drunk ranch manager in Texas managed to catch it on CNN (which I never watch unless I'm flipping channels) and forward it to a forums, the rest of the internets are doing the same, ten or twenty fold.
Don't be surprised if he ends up naming someone else as his VP tomorrow morning, which is when the "official" statement is supposed to be released.
