New Toy - Beretta cx4

Picked up this baby this afternoon. Haven't gotten a chance to head to the range yet but I will after I get my aimpoint and surefire mounted. I was kind of disappointed that they didn't have any high capacity magazines in stock so I'm limited to the standard 15rds at the moment, but I guess thats just one more thing to shop for.

The CX4 is a semiautomatic carbine that comes in either 9mm, .40cal or .45 cal (this one is .40 only because they don't make .45 with hi cap magazines yet). The nice thing about them is that they use the same magazines as the beretta px4.
So to answer the question, yes its pretty much a semiauto submachine gun that takes the same magazine as the beretta PX4 of the same caliber.

Not gonna lie, that thing needs...something. Maybe a tactical light or something on the front, to kind of balance it out.

Ive got a aimpoint and surefire to mount on it, under the barrel theres a rail that slides out for lights or the rail on the side can be placed on either the right or the left, I just need to find my rail mount for the light.

IMO you need to have at least a reflex sight and a flashlight to have a good home defense rifle. Too many people shoot something they don't mean to because they cant identify their target, and besides that they blind the hell out of people and make the weapon look scary.

The only thing I wish is that it had a rail under the front hand guard so I could put a vertical grip.
