Re: The war in Iraq...again
Fuck the UN. Basically, any organization involving the French has absolutely no say when it comes to anything involving wars, battles, or any kind of fight. Not unless there's another Napoleon Bonaparte, anyway.
But personally, I think we need to just carpet bomb the entire middle east (possibly Israel, too), since I honestly think that entire area has become to god-ridden to be redeemable. They're all so concerned with whose little imaginary friend in the sky is more powerful that they're all killing each other and will never change anything. Just hit the damn reset button already.

We help Israel in many ways. there is a good chance they wouldn't be here if it wasnt for us. Israel isn't a terrorist country.
Now as far as just wiping that part of the world of the map. We would be killing millions of innocent people which makes us no better than Sadam or Binladin.

Kill them all is your best solution... Honestly? Destroy all women and children, along with everyone there that believes in democracy, or shares common values as you? You are endorsing genocide with this statement, which is something America thankfully asserts itself in opposing. Rather than offer any substantial thought, you suggest murder on the largest scale. That, sir, is fucking sick.
Pwnt, and have a nice day!

Funny how you quote everyone, but skip me. Wasn't Iraq in violation of UN sanctions by kicking weapons inspectors out of their country, and preventing them from searching as agreed? So we should follow the plan of the UN no matter what, and when a country that is potentially a threat to us or our allies does not we just look the other way because the UN does as well?
I know that 2 wrongs do not make a right, but if you are going to say the war is wrong because the UN did not support it then I will respond with the UN did not support Iraq having WMDs, or the capabilities to produce WMDs, and that is why there were inspectors in Iraq to begin with. Iraq then says F the UN, and the UN says OK, F us, what now? The US, UK, and a few other countries said let's do something, and most of the rest of the UN was too chicken S, or not a target.

Re: The war in Iraq...again
I have mixed feelings for the U.N. I like the idea of nations trying to work together to make the world a better place. I like the idea of powerful, civilized, and well established nations trying to help less fortunate nations.
What I don't like is all the talking and imposing of sanctions while the defiant countries thumb their nose at you. How many chances should an irresponsible country be given to disarm nukes, nuclear programs, or WMD's before significant action should be taken to make them. The problem with the U.N. now is that countries like North Korea, Iran, and now Russia is that nobody respects the organization or fears that they will take action against them other than sanctions.
Some people are calling for us to pull out of the middle east...to bring our troops home. Ask anyone high up in the military and they'll tell you that would be a bad move. Ever since we were attacked on 9/11/01 we've been taking the fight to the bad guys. We're not sitting back and defending anymore. We're all about prevention now. If we see a threat to our security or Israel's security, we're gonna address it before that threat becomes reality.
Israel is our little brother. We are a still a Christian nation and they are God's chosen people. Israel is surrounded by Muslim nations who hate them and would love to see them wiped off the map. Israel sits on top of what all Christians and Muslims consider to be the Holy Land. If we left that region, it would give countries like Iran and Syria the opportunity they need to try and wipe Israel off the map as Ahmadinejad has claimed he wants to do. You can say the Iraq war was for oil or for whatever but I guarantee you that it had something to do with taking a radical leader off the doorstep of Israel and planting a new ally right in the middle of the region. We absolutely MUST have a presence in that region if for nothing else than to prevent World War III. If any of those countries decides to go to war with Israel, we all will go to war.

jabberwock, I have nothing wrong with you expressing your point of views...but the whole "pwnt" at the end of each one is downright disrespectful. If you wanna get dirty like that, then fuck you. I don't want people like you on my internets.

It's like cleaning up and putting a bandaid over a fucking huuuge gash in your leg. It might look better, and be okay for awhile...but it's still gonna bleed.
You gotta take the time to tourniquet...clean it, and sew it closed so it stops bleeding. give it the support it needs to heal and prevent the blood flow.
