09-10-08, 03:03 PM #1Hadron Collider
Last night on the NBC nightly news i saw the worlds largest atom smasher was completed. It was a 10 year prodject and i saw it half way done about 3 years ago. Delays caused it to be a 10 year prodject instead of 6. Its is 17 miles in diameter and located in Switzerland. The piont of it is to re-create the big bang. And to see mother nature, that total BS. If something goes wrong with it the director says it can be shut off in under a second. I sorta belive that. But if something does go wrong but you think its a thing thats good, were doomed. The exprement was suppose to take place today. I think it was canceld. I hope.
And to top off the night the guys said, "Hope to see you tommorw night on NBC, good night."

They had recorded video of the scientist telling us about it and the news reporter. I dont know, i dont watch NBC a lot. I just came across the words, "Blow up the world and universe." And then i watched why they said that.

A lot of people can be scientists, but it doesn't mean every one of them is credible. I saw one give a lecture on how the 2nd Law of Thermodynamics wasn't a fundamental law, and that was at an APS conference. Anyone can pull a random scientist or quote them out of context. It's easy; you use either ellipses or a video editor.
