Re: Owned.
seriously, like hub said, if Cuba is so great, why do people migrate to Florida EVERY SINGLE DAY?
And don't say it's not many people...WMC-Havok, MY BROTHER is stationed in Key West, FL with the coast guard. one of their MAIN DUTIES day to day is to pick up the cuban's in open water and take them safely back to Cuba...
Yes, communism is "about morality" but frankly, morality doesn't keep people fed, safe, and happy.
Political/social systems need to be set up so somebody makes the hard decisions nobody else wants to.
Also, in 1948, East Germany was Russian and West Germany was controlled by the allies -- the three individual allied states merged into one country, Which side was able to get back on it's feet MUCH faster, and become self-sufficient once again?
Don't forget to mention the Berlin Airlifts....where we had to supply the COMMUNIST city of Berlin for nine months with quick-drop air supplies because the people were starving...

Re: Owned.
I'm sorry Canadian, I like playing against you and all when i do see you...but this Anti-American bullshit needs to stop.
I honestly just have 1 question for you, what in the fuck has Canada ever done to help the world? Am I saying that American did everything the right way? No. But by god at least we're trying to help.
Should we have invaded? I don't know, nor do I care.
Read your history books though, after Germany was demolished in WW2, who paid for their reconstruction? Who gives more aid to any country in need? Who has the only military force and financial backing to deal with the scum of the world?
Tell me how many times Canada has gone out to help countries in need bro? And tell me how many people know about them?
The USA may have a lot of bad publicity, but you know what, thats what happens when you invest yourself in other countries. We screw up sure, everyone knows about it. We do good, its still out there.
Stop looking at the negatives of one country or system of government and quit your bitching.
I have nothing personal against anyone here at TTP, but for the love of god please stop spewing your Anti-American bullshit when you refuse to look at the good and humanitarian attempts and successes of the American people.
As far as the topic goes, I'll watch it when I'm off work. Ya know, supporting my country, or am I morally bankrupt for doing that?

Re: Owned.
oh, and don't be like "I thought this country supported free speech" etc etc...
the 1st amendment/free speech grants you protection from the government, military, and police for expressing your views.
The one thing it doesn't do is protect an average joe from getting on your ass.
