Me and TTP a two year relationship

Having not played inferno in quite some time I did a search to find servers with inferno. Looking at the list in front of me I selected one, good ping, in Texas even better. I joined the server, read the rules and began playing... Wow was I shocked. CSS being played strategically not just another DM. It was fun, I did get slayed once... Not being so good with the radar I found myself alone searching for the bomb. I made it to the room looking up middle paused trying to figure out what to do and not moving to quick. LOL bam the slay, PURSUE OBJECTIVE OR DIE TRYING. Oh ok I get it, pretty sure it was bigdog, but thats all it took for me to realize wow these guys are serious. I only played for a little while the first night, because some killers and bigtex guys told me, hey theres forums go check em out and sign up. Since then TTP has been home, no where else can you play and enjoy it the way it is here.

I played CS only for about a year, then DOD, and in July I started the new addiction known as TF2. However two years ago this place was much smaller, only 3 or 4 servers compared to now 7 games and multiple servers for most of those and match servers. Watching this place grow has been great, the forums evolved, for those of you that remember it was a pain in the ass at times. We made it through it and continued to grow. The news of added servers and improvements keeps coming all the time. Isn't it great? The number of hosted clans... can you believe it? TTP is young and still growing.

With such a popular server a reserved slot was a must. Not only did I get on the server when I wanted I helped out TTP. When I first joined TTP reserve slots were only $2.50, what a bargain. And now $5 is still a great deal. Unfortunately all of the reserved slots are still not enough. Have you checked the donations thread lately, in case your too lazy to read it yourself or don't understand... This place isn't making money. In fact it's steadily losing money. So, how do we stay open if we aren't meeting are costs each month... well I'm not sure, but somebody is forkin over the cash to keep us going. Why? because TTP is great and people believe in it. I donate in addition to my reserve slot every month because gaming wouldn't be the same without TTP. The other day the servers were down briefly, I searched for another place to play, IT DOESN'T EXIST. Once you have TTP you can't go back to pubbing, it just ain't the same. SO if you can spare a few bucks help us all out and keep this place going strong.

People come and go due to life and circumstances. Even when you see players go (on their own or forcibly...lol) more just keep coming. Other than a good laugh, check the banned forums and see how many have left, and to prove how great this place is notice the ones that come crawling back. They beg for forgiveness because they found out how stupid it is to try and burn TTP. Some don't learn as quick as others. For some, TTP is what they always wanted and dreamed of, finding it they have dedicated themselves to it. The many admins who put in so much time and effort, the mods who keep the forums orderly, the clan leaders who organize and push forward teamplay ideals in server, to all of you, many many thanks. Especially the 5 clans at the top of the list on the right. All 5 have been here since I started, they have worked through all the hard times and not blown away. It takes all of us to make TTP, thanks to all who continue to support in various ways.

Saturday is my official 2 year mark, funny thing is, I will be in Houston, the birth place of TTP. So Saturday night when I raise my glass, it will be a toast to 2 years at TTP and many more to come.

PS I will be watching the 'Stros hoping they close out the season with a couple wins over the braves. And to anybody in Houston I'll buy you a drink(or two or three) after the game
