it was amazing! Elizabeth May was pretty damn impressive eh?! she's quite a character! harper had nothin'. yes they all ganged up on him, but thats only natural cause he's right and they're all left (not to mention he's the PM). hahaha Jack said some funny ass comments, "where's you platform? hiding underneath your sweater?" hahaha, Dion did well too. kinda pissed me off when he said NDP was too socialist though

cheap shot, trying to invoke the stigmata attached to the word socialism. the block has some pretty damn good arguments aswell, it was the first time i really hear anything from them, i liked Gilles Duceppe, smart guy.

anyway, what did my fellow Canadians think?

It was my birthday so I was at the bar so I didnt watch it, I tried recording it so ill see if it worked so I can watch it.

Just without watching it heres some of my thoughts : Im assuming the other parties didnt attack may much because she isnt any competition leaving here to go on the offensive on the other leaders.

Jack is quite funny but sometimes he has his head in the clouds. I just do not get his economic policies at all, he is left wing and does not even follow Keynesian economics? Not to mention his environmental plan is fucking retarded (the liberals is even worse) and the fact that all the things he is promising he has said he may cancel if the economy starts heading down (which it will).

Dion is a hopeless and uncharismatic leader. The only way he is going to win votes is by portraying himself as the 'middle ground' between the socialist ndp and conservatives.

Gillies Duceppe - Why can a party who is not running nationwide be apart of the federal election?

Harper- Like I said I didnt watch it yet but he probably didnt come off as that impressive because throughout the election campaign he has been the most reasonable person. He hasn't promised things he cannot deliver and is the most realistic of the bunch.

I thought it was interesting to see them all sitting at a table discussing the issues. May seems like a scatter brain...although she has some good ideas. Problem with the Green party its platform is too broad. Many of there ideas appeal to too many people on the spectrum...thus it will never get the support it needs to make it. I wish Gilles and his Bloc cronies would just go away. I don't think Quebec is going anywhere while there is a global recession coming. Layton...NDP...will never have a chance...way too out there for Canadians...Canadians range on the left of centre to right of centre. That's why we always have a Liberal or Conservative government. Too bad the Liberals have Dion...Gerard Kennedy would have made a better choice and a decent run for PM. Ignatiff...too much of an academice who has spent most of his life outside of Canada. Harper...I dislike...but I am a card carrying conservative...not a reformist. I would like to see a more personable leader like Peter McKay. I think that if things economically go bad...I really think Harper right or wrong would at least make policies to combat it...I think the other leaders as demonstrated in the debate are too weak and indecisive.
