EA doesnt use lube
So 2 days ago i go to the EA site and use my account to purchase northern strike finally. So when i go to my download manager to download what I paid for it says my account is invalid. So I login to the support site (which isnt invalid for some strange reason when i go to give them money??) and submit a ticket because the login says to contact EA to get this account going again or make a new one. and since I already paid to download something on this account I need this 1 reactivated. And I get the good ole automated message -

OK 24 hours no big deal I got other things I can do in those 24 hours.
Now I look at my email the only thing I see is
EA Customer Service - to me Oct 7 (3 days ago)
for that very same email I just showed you. And no other emails at all. So I go to login to the site and I put in my information and it says my account is invalid? I figure i probably used another password instead so I try another 1. And I get a completely different error about the password is incorrect. SO that means the 1st password was correct but theyre just not letting me in the site. So today I make a new account and send this message:
I have an account with another email ---------- but whenever I try to login after i sent my last question I get an invalid? I checked the password and its all fine. So instead of giving me access to what I paid for (bf2142 northern strike) You knock me off the site all together? It would be nice to be able to use what I paid for or at least not get fucked in the ass by you guys.
"The issue you are reporting has been received and will be addressed within 24 hours."
Here on Earth 24 hours means 1 day. I got this email 2 days ago without any further correspondence other then "Hey your not getting to your account again thanks for the money noob"
So how about letting me logon to my old account and giving me my money back OR letting me logon to my old account and letting me use what I paid for. Or you can be the dicks EA support is known for.
By the way great job on fixing those bugs in 2142...

Re: EA doesnt use lube
well 5 days after my original request I finally get an answer
Hi,
Thank you for contacting Electronic Arts.
In order to assist you we require some more information, please provide us the following
information:
- Your Full Name:
- Account Name used for BF 2142:
- Email address used to purchase the game:
- Order ID you received when the order was completed:
- Registration code for Northern Strike you received when the order was completed:
- Registration code used to register Battlefield 2142 on your EA screen name:
- Last 4 digits of the credit card used to purchase the game:
- Your Date of Birth:
- Zip Code:
With this information, we will be able to assist you further.
and my response
All I need is to be able to get onto my account. I dont see why you need all my personal information which I have already given you on my account before you blocked me from getting on. I can not login to the program I have, and now after my original request for assistance I cant even logon to the site. I would have replied through that but I have to do it through here. All I want is access to my account.

Re: EA doesnt use lube
I know it may seem tough dealing with these guys, but just do what they say Coji, the more you avoid there questions the longer it will take to get you back and running. I'm sure they didn't just block your account, if anything I bet it's just a technical problem on their end.

Re: EA doesnt use lube
I dont plan on ever playing my game. And I am never buying from EA themselves again. It took almost a week for 1 response, even though they guarantee 24 hour response. I just dont care about Northern strike anymore, and now im starting to dislike 2142 all together. I just dont wanna deal with these people again if I can.

Re: EA doesnt use lube
Yep EA sucks I used to think that buying game downloads online was a good thing convience and all. 2 years ago I bought 2142 at launch. Today when I click the 2142 shortcut on my desktop It tells me to make sure I'm logged into eadownloader. I make sure I'm logged in check all my downloads to see if they are all registered and active. Click the 2142 shortcut again and same message. I submitted a ticket 2 weeks ago to resolve this and haven't got one answer. Fuck them. Never again am I going to buy a downloaded game.

Re: EA doesnt use lube
wanted to bump this for something I read on joystiq today
Ahh, customer service, it ain't what it used to be. Just 10 minutes after plugging his Rock Band instruments into the supplied USB hub, Jim Squires noticed that the cord to the unit was smoldering and had created a totally non-rocking electrical fire.
Upon informing EA of the problem, Squires was told by the company to plug the USB adapter back in to test it. No, seriously, he was. Now Squires is still trying to talk to an actual human at the company to let them know about the whole "the Rock Band adapter could have burned my house down" thing.
