    Re: God vs. science

Couple fallacies with the student's train of thought.

On the question of a brain. You CAN inference that he has a brain because he lives, speaks....etc. Its through logical inference. Also, with evolution, we CAN see it happen. You just have to look at bacteria and viruses. Their life cycle is sufficiently short enough and they reproduce quickly enough that you CAN see evolutionary traits. You CANNOT see evolution on the scale of more complex organisms because it takes longer (on the order of thousands of years) to observe any noticeable change. Take a look at the Galapagos Islands like Charles Darwin did.

Cold and hot are just adjectives to describe something. We have gotten to within....I think 1-2 degrees of absolute 0. That is the lower limit of the temperature scale. Just out of curiosity, what is the upper limit on temperature? Is there even one?
    Code:
      ____ U ___ u _____ U _____ u __ __ ____ _ __ _ _ U _____ u
    U| _"\ u \/"_ \/|_ " _| \| ___"|/U|' \/ '|uU| _"\ u|"|/ / ___ | \ |"| \| ___"|/

I have, and I do. I see no reason why the paths are mutually exclusive.

to mention on that subject i was looking up religions for a school project one time and actually a lot of religions have a sect and there is actually a religion as well that believe along those lines. Basically they think God created the world, but doesn't not control people lifes etc.

I'm kind of surprised another highly relevant quote from Einstein hasn't come up sooner:

One of my favorite quotes of his, and I find it highly relevant here.

Lol i remember a while back a college student came up with this.

If hell is constantly gettign new souls, then it needs to grow at a proportional rate. If it expands to fast it will eventually freeze over, if it doesnt expand fast enough it will explode.

Or something like that, i am not quoting it, but thats along the lines of what it said.

If hell wants to keep from going to fast it needs to keep its GDP growth at a rate of about 2%, too much higher and it will grow too fast and too low and it will go into a recession and we know we can't let hell go into a recession

A recession in hell would quite possibly be terrible for us... Honestly, can you deny that a large portion of our economy relies heavily on evil? Perhaps if Hell's dollar went down, and ours stayed up, we'd get better prices on evil imports... Maybe...
