It's my sovereign right as an American to bitch and moan all I want about whoever I want, President of the United States or not. Plus its just not going to happen. The day the government tries to suppress the voices of its people is the day we should rise up in rebellion. Also, 47% of Americans did NOT want Obama to be President. That's a hell of a lot of people. Good luck convincing them they were wrong and good luck getting them to follow along in the whole "unity of America" thing.

I am not a seasoned vet at all. I do remember a set of people walking in and pissing on the Bush parade in 2004. Be ready for the people who got pissed on to do some pissing themselves, because they are still pissed.

MaBell had a great summary that had to do with Barrack Obama's attitude. Enough of the Bullshit already, I am prepared to tear up the good ol boy networks. I agree that this is an attractive quality and one that I will focus on.

I've said it before, if the man delivers results and improves things, I will be in his corner in four years. We will see whether he delivers, and I will give him a fair shake.

If they don't want to be America then they can get the fuck out, or they can support their country despite the fact that their candidate lost. We are the United states of America, not the United States of McCain. I support the right to complain, but it gets old. people don't want to focus on problems or solutions, they'd rather just bitch about Bush or whatever else they don't like. If you aren't prepared to give a solution, then I think your pissing and moaning should stay out of my ears. I'd rather hear someone tell me their plan for the war in Iraq than hear someone bitch about it any day. The guy wit te plan has much more merit to his argument I think.

If Obama is a screw up then people will complain of course, but people forget easily. he is our president and his job isn't easy. So I'd appreciate it if people actually considered doing something other than complaining. There will always be problems.

47% of Americans were not wrong, and the other 53% weren't right. all 100% are part of the USA and should support it or keep quiet, that's what I think.

I'm kind of jumping around here, but I guess I just don't want this to be like the last 4 years, where everyone sits around talking about how dumb our president is. Nevermind the fact that the shit really hit the fan for him and he had to make decisions the likes of which most of us will never see. I'm not really sure where I agree or disagree with the guy (Bush), I just think he took a lot of shit for doing his job and I don't want that to happen to Obama.

Agreed, among the most I am worried about his robin hood taxing.... lol. I could care less what color or creed he is.
He'll either make things better, or make them worse just like, oh, every president before this...?

Lobbing unsubsatntiated critcisms at the president elect for the sake of "they did it to us, so now it is our turn" or "pay back" is about as regressive and absent minded as it gets. Now I am not saying that he shouldn't be criticized, but at least let it be factual and sensible.

Well this isn't from "day one" more like "day 1460", Bush had 4 years of fucking up to deserve this "being pissed on".

You just can't protect the President of the free world from criticism, someone will always disagree. If you aren't ready for that, its time to hole yourself up in a bomb shelter and wait for death, because its not going to go away any time soon. Denial doesn't solve problems though, so perhaps that's a bad strategy.

I just wish it felt like less of a "band wagon" ya know? I think some people don't even know what they are criticizing him for. It's all messed up, and it'll never be perfect. Let's just hope the next 4 are better than the last 4, regardless of who we blame.

Well. The same could be said from the other side of the fence. I wish it felt less band wagon too. I think some people don't even know what they are supporting him for. Regardless, if Obama lives up to everything he says, he'll be the greatest president since FDR, JFK, or Reagan. If he doesn't, the world could be in a terrible way by the time he's through. Time will tell.

Well said, I could care less that he is black. I do care that he will most likely make the country worse. Also I am not a mccain supporter. I voted for him because he was better than obama, not by much. The thing I am most disapointed by is that we wont have palin as vp. That was our best shot at a female president.
