Thread: New Video Card

I finally got a new video card and also added some RAM. The card I had before was a GE Force MX 4400. Now I have a GE Force 7600 GT Overclocked. IT has 512 megs of mem built in. With the old card i was running CS at 30 FPS with EVERYTHING on low. With the new card, I was running at 80-90 FPS with settings on medium and about 60-70 with settings on high. I also added another 512 megs of memory so now I have a total o 1024. The game looked so much better for the little bit i played with the new card. I can now appreciated CS and Dod a little better.

not really. It was my dad's idea to buy all that, so he payed for it.

Yea you should be sitting pretty.... With the new card did you notice the differance when you get flashed?! That old card i know didnt support pixil shading or something, I used to have a 4000's series like that.

Yeah koop. With the new card, whenever i get naded or flashed slightly i get the dazed screen. With my old one, I didnt get dazed at all, my screen just went a bit brighter, which is why when I wasnt directly flashed...i could still see pretty well. Also with this new card, i can see the muzzle fire and the flash from (like freaking fireworks) it in shadowed corners....so much easier to spot people now. My old card didnt allow shadows either, but my new one does....its so great.

yeah, i noticed that when i get flashed, its over quickly, but at jason's or anyone with a good comp, you have a burnt image on the screen. what gives?

I have a question, whats better, x600, x800 or x1400?

Hm, The x600 is the worst. But the 800 is an older architechture but I think its more powerful. the x1400 i think is not as good but its a newer type of card.
