Filled up my car for $22 for the first time in three years. However, im only preparing for the worst, because it will go up again. But fuck it, enjoy it while you can. Fill up your boat and take the family skiing or something, im going to!!!!

It is mixed feelings for me.
I am the one who said bring on the 8$ a gallon gas to push the issue. I still think that the crisis mentality is the best frame of mind to fix the problem of dependence on foreign oil. As other have said, complacency will kick in, and next summer (possible spoiler alert) .... Gas will hit 5$ a gallon.
Circular stupidity.
I did wonder whether the reduced driving this year (and it was a SIGNIFICANT reduction) was our weapon against OPEC. It won't take them long to figure out the pattern and reduce output to respond to our reduction of consumption on a seasonal basis.
Either way, keep middle eastern petro unaffordable year round so that this country is forced to find another solution.
We'll be sending them food within a generation.
