Politicians do this all the time, they pass a bill that will not offend and that will get passed, then they come along at a later date, and make it offensive. Can't do anything about it by this time, as the bill is in full swing.

Just another way our Politicians lie, cheat and take advantage of their constituants. They never intended to be honest with us in the first place.

I heard just recently, that Politics is like Poker; you never want to let the other guys know what your thinking... and you never let him know exactly what cards you hold.... even when the dealings done.

It's the old saying in action.

When you don't know what to do, do something. It's that simple. These guys are simply rolling up their sleeves and trying to instill confidence that they'll save us.

I ask save us from what? From them? From the guys that allow advertising that goades our society into borrowing for McMansions that it can't afford?

The Conservative plan was to do nothing and let the markets work naturally. I agreed with that and wrote my Republican congressman to that effect. But for whatever reason the Republicans couldn't practice what they were preaching. When it came time to hold the rattlesnake half of them got scared, my congressman included. Fucking pussy. He lost his office.
