Re: Poor Bush
THAT'S RIGHT BUSH is the MOFO MAN! :9
Thanks for the full story MotoZ.
Ditto PizzaSHARK!
I'm glad we had him as President when this country was hurting, don't think any of the candidates running when he was, would have done better.
Seems to me that everyone against Bush thinks all the problems in this country are due to him, ONE MAN? WHATEVER He may be the most powerful man, but the decisions are not just his. And, we as a people have hugely contributed to the state of this country. Deal with it. My one cent.

she of course didn't take well to that statement, but that's how i feel. early on in his presidency, he was faced with an awful reality, and had to react to it. he was even told to react to it, and had a line of people telling him how to do so. i personally would not want to make the decisions that he did.
but i can tell you this... i am very laid back, the gentle bear, until someone pushes me. i can't say that i wouldn't push for exactly the same.
i don't ever want that position.

Re: Poor Bush
As I said before, it doesn't take much to sit on the sidelines and boo. That's easy to do, and easy for the party to support.
It is hard to be in the circle making decisions of unprecedented difficulty. As a supporter, I have found it is difficult as well.
I don't doubt that the next 8 years will present challenges to the democrats. Well see whether they meet those challenges, or choose a containment strategy while continuing to pursue a strategy of blaming bush and the repubs, which is my overview of what we saw during the election. It worked then and I have a feeling that it will be repeated.
In other words, I suspect that the dems will continue to run against bush well into the future.
