11-25-08, 03:29 PM #1Sarah Palin
so we know Sarah Palin has been a target of the media, with the chicken thing, the Couric interviews, SNL etc. However i found out soemthing she did actually a month before the election to try and sway young voters to vote for McCain and not Obama. I thought it was really well done and too bad it wasn't as affective as hoped

Re: Sarah Palin
Well, as I am sure you know by now, well some of you know, I am from Alaska. I think the media and all the BS that everybody talks about her needs to be thrown out the window. I realize because of her recent run for VP, that people want to know all this crap about her and want to talk a bunch of BS about her. Personally, I like her and have from day 1 since I got here. She is a way better person then 99% of the politicians out there. One of the first things she did when she got in office here was cut her own pay, bet none of the politicians would ever do that. She is very open and honest with the public and believes in serving the people to make the world a better place. None of the politicains are that way, matter of fact they all try hiding more then you know and couldnt give a rats ass about the public. She trys to blow through as much red tape as possable to push stuff through as fast as possable for the benifit of all, inclueding her and her job so that she can deal with other issues(God knows they have enough issues to deal with)
Accually, I am kinda glad she didnt get elected, I personally dont want to lose her here and dread the people that would be running and replacing her, 1 of them would be the mayor of Anchorage(where I live) who is a POS and very crooked IMO, once again a typical politician out for himself.(I have stories about him)
People need to back up off her(and her family) and let her be to do her job. She is a way better person then any other politician I know of and would have been very good for the country, its a shame the media wants to pick her a part, and I hope she does run for president in the next election, she would have my vote in a heartbeat. I wouldnt even think twice about it. But then again, I would hate to lose her from here.

Re: Sarah Palin
I don't think the media was out to get Sarah Palin. I think she was interviewed like the other candidates and most of the electorate found her lacking in the knowledge and expertise needed for the job. Katie couric didn't try to assasinate her character. She simply asked Palin questions and it was the responses to these questions that she was judged on. They were fair questions. Also this notions that her family was being attacked is ridiculous. Everybody, especially Democrats like Obama and Carville, went out of there way to say this had NOTHING to do with her being fit to be Vice President. I think this upset many Republicans b/c they thought that Democrats would try to use this against her. Nobody tried, sorry.
As far as her being a nice person, I couldn't agree more. From my perspective she seemed like a caring wife and loving mother who has had to deal with some tough family issues. Nice lady no doubt. But this election was not about her being a nice person. It was about whether or not she was fit for the position and I think we know how the majority of Americans voted on that, don't we?
