Blackberry Storm
Yupp...Spaz done got himself a Blackberry Storm today.....and what can I say? I'm in absolute-fucking-love....
the biggest hype has been the "sure-type" screen/keyboard. It is absolutely amazing....Typing doesn't just feel like you're pushing buttons....YOU ARE PUSHING BUTTONS! the screen is mounted on a set of springs, and actually physically depresses a small amount with a very pleasurable tactile "click"
Everybody who has handled my phone picks it up and tries to use the screen, and are only highlighting items. They're like "dude...wtf" and I just tell em "press a bit harder......." *click* "WHOAH!"
The layout is very clean, and I have had no problems navigating....I haven't even had the chance to look at the manual because my CD drive is messed up.
Paired flawlessly with the other little gift I bought myself with the phone:
Jawbone 2 Bluetooth headset. I've had the jawbone one for quite awhile, and was happy in every aspect but it's size....it was (as it was described to me) "a cockroach crawling out of my ear" I haven't had a chance to try out the noise assassin in an appropriate environment yet, but am eager to get it on the freeway with the window down ^_^ (something the jawbone 1 had no problem with)
Anybody else pick up a storm, ordered one, or plan on ordering one? if so....thoughts? first impressions?

Re: Blackberry Storm
Spaz that is interesting you say that. I have been interested in the phone, but have seen numerous not glowing reviews on this device. One of the disappointments cited is that it is not the best device for a user that types a lot of email.
Here's a couple of reviews by engadget and cnet:

http://reviews.cnet.com/smartphones/...-33311850.html
With that being said. Please post updates as to your experiences. I'm pretty leary about potentially biased reviews and rather here it from a non-partisan perspective.

I set up my old gmail account (took less than 2 minutes) and made a new email (it's *******@vzw.blackberry.net) which took about 3 minutes...
As for typing the email...yeah, it's harder to use pretty HTML or something, but as for getting information sent out successfully, it is nothing but a breeze.
The keyboard does take a LITTLE getting used to (you can't have laggy fingers, you gotta peck down, hit the key, and get your finger back up) you basically just can't keep one finger on a highlighted letter while you press another with your other thumb.
Oh, and the screen? absolutely blows an iphone away.....it is sooo clear....a friend sent me a picture of her, and I texted her back "Hey, is that a pimple on your chin??" (yes, I could see detail that well......and she's mad at me now :-P)
