Hmmmmm. I want to see a OU-UT championship game. Could happen if Florida barely beats Alabama.

But if OU wins the National Championship game against someone other than Texas, we have a co-champion situation. Which is the second time in less than 10 years. Honestly if this happens, there is no way anyone can say the BCS works. We have proof it doesn't.

And yes, I see your arguments and I understand what the BCS is trying to do. Having every game matter is badass. But if this is the consequence, its not worth it. No way.

Also, if the most exciting and best way is to have rankings and polls determine the champion then why don't other sports do that? Instead of having March Madness just have the polls pick a champion. Then the regular season would matter, right?

True statement..never looked at it that way, march madness is the best. The thing is there are so much more games in basketball than football so every team is gonna have a bad game every once in a while so that wouldnt make sense in basketball.

Sure it would, the voters are smart enough to figure out who is the best, they do it every year in football.

Haha yeah but if you want to start talking about a playoff, you have to think about how much longer it takes to prepare for a football game then a basketball game. Basketball players can play a game the day after another game. That is physically not possible for football. Football players need to let there body rest after getting beat up for a whole game. Also if you want to start talking playoff you would maybe need to shorten the season by a couple weeks because of weather condtions and how cold it can get in the northern states. You could just play all the games down south but then the home field advantage isnt very fair for the northern schools. Overall I like the whole bowl set up and the bcs.

Right, that is why they don't have playoffs in D2, D3, NAIA, and every other college football division known to man, oh wait, they do. As I said, it is all about the bowl money, but if they did it right they could have their cake and eat it too. Just hire me, I will straighten out the BS, er I mean BCS.

That is only a small part of it. The system is flawed. A few years ago OU lost the Big 12 championship game, and still went to the title game. USC may be the best team in the country, but we will never know. TT is probably better than Boise State, Utah, and Penn State, plus whomever the ACC and Big East will send, but they will not get a BCS bowl bid. Time to blow it up.

Yeah I agree with you when we talk about all these crap teams in a BCS bowl. Cincinatti, maybe BC, maybe VA Tech, Utah, Boise St? I dont wanna watch those teams get destroyed by the powerhouse teams. Im just happy that Oregon State got blown out yesterday so I wouldnt be seeing a rematch of Penn St vs Oregon St in the rose bowl.
