    I miss Legos

    I do.

I want to go buy some. But the ones I see are nothing like what I had 80's or 90's. Today's Legos are already prebuilt bullshit.

What happened to the day where all the legomen looked the same and you had to add stuff to them to make them all different. You had to use your imagination.

Also, is it bad that I'm 25 and still want to play with Legos?

I play with my sons' legos. They are awesome, but not as cool as the OG legos from when I was younger.

I played with Legos until I was in High school and gave them to a cousin. WORST MISTAKE I could ever have done...

Long Lego story short, my uncle loved those things. He had a full train set with buildings, cars, etc. He finally gave them to me when he was about 30. It was 1960's OG Lego stuff.

You have at least five years to go before I'll consider you an anomoly.

My thoughts exactly!! Are you my long lost brother(I really have one out there somewhere)?
I keep wanting to get mine out of the closet and play with them.
Sunday I played with a younger cousins erector set. They wanted to build a car and they didn't have any instructions on how to build one. They were amazed when I went to town and built one. I even hooked up the motor and made it drive. Oh man to find good legos and build again... I almost broke down and bought the fire house lego set.

    Re: I miss Legos

I gave my tub of legos to my daughter who will eventually share them with her little brother (he has duplos atm). The new ones are not premade and you still have to build them, the new pieces offer a lot of different ideas.

If you really want to see something, look for all the video of lego displays on youtube.

My uncle's old Lego's are still in the family as well. Those things are indestructable and timeless. They went from him, to me, to my sister, to my nephew, and are now with his brother.
