    radio

i'm seeing if someone can help me... i havnt really looked into this much but i was driving to the bars tonight and my radio just cut off... kinda like it blew a fuse... but i just checked to fuses... i could hear the cd changer moving cds around but it wont turn on... the clock wont show but it will let you set the time, eject cds, load cd, but it goes blank when your done. i just reinstalled a new xm radio today. it is a modulator only hooks up to the antenna part of the radio. is there a fuse on the back of the radio maybe?

also on this picture... what is the thing right of the stearing wheel, below the air vent.

    Re: radio

It's possible that you triggered the anti-theft measures on the radio... Again, the manual would help with that.

    Re: radio

    ditto with what Arreo suggested.

coming from an extensive audio background that is exactly what happens when anti-theft measures are engaged. IF, the radio is able to be reset, it will have to be redone at the dealership, or you could be shit out of luck and you have to pay some $$ to replace the module in the radio that "fries" when the anti-theft measures are engaged.

I'm guessing you removed the radio earlier, to add the XM inline patch? If so, you may have disturbed the anti-theft enough to trigger. Being out of the business, i don't know much about the newer cars and what is actually on yours but, if you blew a fuse on the unit, nothing would work at all.
