    Well, it's somewhat similar but also quite different. I am usually exposed to 10k+ ft for no more than 5 minute intervals while skydiving (most of that in the plane, ascending), and I am not exerting myself at all during those 5 minutes. A few hours skiing or snowboarding is a very different story (long duration, much energy expended due to activity). But maybe the skydiving helped somehow, who knows?

    I started making one and after 10 minutes only had one sphere about as big as a beach ball, so I quit. First snowman attempt in my life = fail. Of course, I've seen much better snow in Tahoe and CO but too busy with other stuff to stop and play kiddie games.
