When I was about 5 it snowed in Edgewater where I was growing up (just inland from New Smyrna Beach). Of course, it was nothing, even compare to this dinky Houston snow. It disappeared when it hit the ground, but I still remember it vividly. I also remember many winters when I was very young in that area where there were icicles everywhere.

I've seen a lot of snow and even a lot of snow in Texas, but I've never seen a lot of snow in Texas that actually stuck to the ground like it did last night. My roommate made a snowman too! Its nice to have a white winter day for once even if it was only a couple hours.

how the hell did i forget the beer.

My only question to you guys is this, how many accidents were there this morning because people dont know how to drive in snow, or icy conditions for that matter? Im guessing a lot.

Well the snow came in the evening so there were ZERO accidents because of snow yesterday morning. Joking aside, I didn't see any accidents when I went out to eat dinner, but I also didn't drive very far.

A very large number of accidents and traffic jams all over this morning.

People just don't understand what a lack of traction can do.....

In Orlando it rains pretty bad every afternoon in the summer. Whenever I left work and it was raining I had a game I'd play which was essentially "count how many cars are washed off the road." Even though it rained every freaking day, people still couldn't figure it out.

I love when it's raining (or snowing, as it was last night) and you still have people riding your ass at 50mph, or passing you aggressively to be the first to the red light.

Actually Veovis, I take that game a step further.

I try to just glance at license plate tags and see if I can recall it. So many close calls in a car. That just irritates me. I've got a lot of people who put me in dangerous positions/situations when I"m on my bicycle.

Never know when you'll need the actual license plate of someone, but I"m up to about 40% accuracy. I just wonder what my accuracy will be like in a real situation and adrenaline starts going or if I'll have the foresight/remember to look at the license plate as I'm falling to the ground.

Yep, snow yesterday, today the temp was back up in the 60s, supposed to be in the 70s tomorrow.

    Crazy ass Texas weather.
