I shall try to find this book. There's also an a murder mystery book that teaches the basics of the main economic schools of thought out there. It was a fun read back in high school. Maybe we could try that one, too.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
Bigdog-Sweet home Alabama you are an idiot.

Lizard, why'd you post the "partisan" thing? And the rest of you.....if he is "trolling" (and I said "if" damnit, don't say I claimed you were) then why are you feeding it? :3
Personally, I like reading stuff or hearing stuff that differs from my own opinion or beliefs. It is the only way your opinions or beliefs are going to grow. And if this book covers one party's way of thinking over anothers who cares, I'm still learning something new. So, if I find out my stepdad IS reading this book I'll steal it while he's sleeping and join in on this. If not, I'll catch the next book :9

Last i checked i never called you a troll, nor said you aren't good or anything of the sort. All i said is that its not trolling if i'm giving my opinion on what the books sounds like to me from reviews, and saying i would read it after given reviews from both sides of the spectrum. And if the blookclub is planning to have people from different age groups, religions, political affilations etc. discuss a book then aren't i supporting the idea by saying i want to hear opinions of the book from the other side and if they felt it was unbias, correct w.e.
Lastly, how can what you say about the book be facts if you have not read it? "not really in depth like this book will probably go." thats called an opinion, you have no proof how in-depth it will go.

I am williung to try out this book.
That being said, I get a sneaking suspicion that lizard is correct in stating that "this book will probably say it was 'the new deal'" caused the great depression.
Are you (Con) as president going to be the "decider" of what books we review?

More on that later, I'm sure.

As far as the OT, I love economics even though I am a math/systems guy; knowledge is power.  I have several textbooks from a number of economics, policy and law courses I have taken.  While I am no expert, I have read them cover to cover in my special kind of digesting all the data sort of way.  If I have time over this break, I may just check out your suggestion Consultant.  But I really want to read some fiction for a little while...ahh fiction, how I miss you.
