It's just sulfur dioxide and nitrous oxides that cause acid rain. Pine needles aren't going to be high on that list, sorry. How much sulfur dioxide is emitted by decaying pine needles?

I'll tell you how i take this. This comes acrossed as because you dont know it doesn't exsist. There are many things that create acid in nature that do aid in the creation of acid rain. The one that surprised me was lightning. I already said man and nature create acid rain so what is your point by this?

I don't think you understand how acid rain forms. It is not from the evaporation of acids. It is formed by SO2 and nitrous oxides being pumped into the atmosphere and they react with other substances to form sulfuric acid and nitric acid. Those two emissions come primarily from power production and industry, and unless you can show how much SO2 or nitrous oxides are emitted through other, nature means, your point is moor.

Right now,there is NO ABSOLUTE PROOF that man has ANYTHING to do with the climate. Yes,we do pollute,and by our very existence,always will to a degree. The question is what do we do about it.

I'm not taking it to any extreme, and you are making about as much sense as when you brought up Al Gore. Really, it's incoherent. We are talking about the cause of acid rain. Mainly, it is a result of human activities. Did I say we should go back to living in huts? No, I said we have done a good job so far reducing emissions like SO2, but that is just a start and we have to cut more and other emissions, too. How that is extreme, I have no clue.

And yes, there is evidence of anthropogenic climate change. Just because you say there isn't any doesn't make it so. Creationists like to say the same thing. You can choose to ignore it all you want, I don't care. It doesn't change reality.

Global warming essentially means very minor temperature changes but very minor temperature changes can have huge effects on the climate. Just consider evaporation a single degree rise in temperature vastly increases the amount of evaporation from the ocean, this then creates more and larger weather systems. More percipitation particularly in the spring causes more rapid snow melts in the mountains hence more problem with flooding and mud slides.

And that is just scratching the surface, of possible consiquences from altering the worlds temperature.

Science is not exact especially with something so complicated as the climate which has so many natural things affecting it, to massive influences being the sun and the gravitational effect of the other bodies in our solar system, both of which we don't entirely understand.
What we do understand is pretty simple, CO2, methane and other greenhouse gasses absorb and hold a significant amount of energy. So more of them equal more held temperature.

I dread the day China and India even attain the level of consumption per capita of europe never mind Canada or the US. Just think of how much oil and coal they will consume at that point and the shear volume of CO2 that will be released into the atmosphere. Just picture it maybe we will even have world wide smog. If they achieved the level of consumption of the US and Canada it is basically like tripling the entire worlds current consumption of fuels. So even if global warming is insignificant today, which it isn't, it will be disasterous once China and India actually achieve our life style.

Well whatr about China in this Grand Scheme of global warming ?? They are building 3 New Coal fired power plants every couple weeks. So while we limit our SO2 they are increasing it by 3 fold and do you think Algore will be able to sell the Chinese his Carbon Credits ?? Please don't make me laugh. And No the Chinese don't give A Rats Ass what you or anybody else in world thinks period the end !

And of course the you dont understand comment comes out. Believe it or not people understand many things every though they do not always agree with each other. Get past the you think you know better part and get to where you can prove it wrong part. We both know you cant so why dont we just skip the whole thing. You stating a couple things that can be retreived off any web site doesn't make you an expert. It does mean you at least looked but failed to follow the whole thing through.

Do you at least have the understanding on it that acid in soil runs into water ways, is evaporated, and comes back down through rain? Do you understand that lightning itself causes acid rain? How about seaspray? Do you see how the whole you dont understand thing can be a little annoying on top of being pretty much an insult to someones intelligence?

So how about you just except the fact that man and nature both create acid rain or do we have to go back farther in time before we were even here and talk about the acid rain that was happening before man.
