    i'd get the double bass first. If you already have some old rings. It will take some practice to get good at double bass.

    Just a suggestion you might wanna tilt those toms inward it might help you out a bit.

    I just couldn't pass up those pedals and I didn't have enough for the rings.
    I was looking at both and I HAD to get the pedals

    The gel pads on the snare/bass essentially do the same thing.

    right, the snare is probably the most important, but your TOMS are what's really important.
